What if Robots Took over the World?
What if it Works?
This is the age old scenario. Robots taking over the world. Movies like Target Earth and Transformers already have these ideas.
What's so special about this? Why do people talk about this idea of robot invasions?
It's most likely to raise awareness that technology could take over our lives. It sort of is already.
Major companies like Google and Apple already have ways of knowing what we're doing based on the information we have in our accounts. They could see our emails, what we type, what we click etc. etc. etc.
So is the robot invasion already happening? If so is this good or bad?
Let's see.
1. What we would think it would be like?
If the robot invasion is happening, what would it be like? Well in the movies it's about robots coming in with laser beams and stuff getting all nasty.
But that's not how it's like. The worst think robots could do is take over our jobs.
For example, if people started shopping online that could take over baggers jobs, and the cash register. If drones started doing deliveries, that would put the mailman out of business.
2. What it would be like?
Still. The robot's taking over jobs is a very big deal. But the more jobs we lose, the more jobs would be created.
If robots start taking over certain jobs, newer, and different jobs would come in. like programming, and designing. The more robots come in the more advanced things are for us.
Things would be cheaper, and life could get easier. There are good things with things like this.
But also bad things. For one, society would be geared towards certain things that others might not want it to be.
Who said everybody want's to be a programmer? Or a game-designer? The ones who already are would love it. What about the ones who don't want to be?
What if they think it isn't worth it? Is it?
Or maybe totally new jobs would be invented. Who knows?
What do you think?
