What if There Were No Birds?
What if it Works?
Imagine if all those flying creatures vanished.
What would be your first reaction? Maybe you would first think what happened? Did some hunter use an air bomb or something? Or am I just dreaming?
Forget about how birds would be gone. Maybe it would be instant, or maybe it would take years. But whatever the reason lets leave that aside, and deal with the course of no birds.
There are bird species that have gone instinct. It was mostly due to hunters who thought that there were so many that they could never go instinct.
Goes to show that theres never enough.
So what would happen if there were no birds?
Let's see
1. What we would think it would be like?
Ok strange and empty sky, we got that one down. But what would be the pros and cons of this?
Well for the farmers, it's good new. No more putting scarecrows up!
No. Just kidding, it's very bad new's for the farmers. What else eats crops? Insects. What eats insects? Birds. What happens if there's no birds? A new predator call the Birdisoris (A mix between a bird, and a Dinosaur,) eats them.
Wrong. (Good idea though.)
The insects celebrate, multiply, and destroy the worlds food.
No food? No humans. And the insects take over the world.
That's the real invasion.
Scary.
And now you have this to think about.
2. What it would be like?
Ok so besides the fact that they'll have a good supply of food, eventually they'll run out. And die too. So that's the end of life on earth.
Ok so don't kill all birds.
Let's look at this the other way. What if the Birdisoris came into the picture. They'll replace birds!
Yup, and they'll take over the world.
If we stop them then the insects take over the world.
So we're stuck.
Is that good or bad?
Well you tell me!
But it could be good if this new Dino decides to not take over the world. Ten we'll see Dinosaur in our lifetime. That would be awesome!
Next time. (Time for a What if it Work? On Birdisoris's ... eventually.)
