What if There Was No Social Media
What if it Works?
Surprise. Twitter failed. Yes maybe they have a few million people on their accounts, but the number is slowly fading.
About a few million people have left social media since 2017.
The reason? A number of things. It doesn't do anything. No point. No privacy. Stalking. Fake news.
The world has gotten a bit off lately. But social media is the main influence. Maybe they'll get better maybe they wouldn't. Social media is still less than twenty years old. Wait a bit longer maybe by 2050 we'll see how things go.
But what if there were no social media at all?
That would be awesome!
Sorry media.
Lot's of the people that are quitting are young people. This generation. It could span anywhere from 13 - 20.
We've realized you can't live life on your phones. Seriously I don't have a phone. I'm sure you don't either. And if you do, you'll see how it's worthless to have one sooner or later.
The only good thing about it is the tools. Maps, Siri, camera, etc. etc. But once it starts getting to news people don't know what to say.
Even the last two presidents of America were treated like their immature babies.
This was all because of the news saying lies. Is this how the world is going to be? Everybody making the next person look like an idot?
I'm sure you'll disagree with me. I'm really just saying what the world is really like without social media.
Of course, the whole point of phones is to make the worlds tasks easier. One problem.
Obsession.
There's no point trying to defend yourself. Half the world is obsessed with the screen.
So what if there was no social media?
Let's take a look at what could happen.
1. What we would think it would be like?
Obviously, there are bad things to no social media.
Social media does help with a lot of things. It's just like I've said before, people get obsessed.
Why is that?
Likes.
No seriously, people get a type of pleasure when they see that their posts were liked. It makes them want to post something like that again.
And obviously, if you take the whole like, and dislike actions down. Nobody would see a point in posting things anymore.
So that's what makes social media not seem worth it anymore. Nobody wants to be obsessed, they just get obsessed.
Nobody would appreciate you in real life, so people would appreciate you on the internet. Sad.
Lots of information is on the internet, you just have to learn not to get caught up in all the nonsense.
With no social media, people would have to start appreciating people more. But it would also mean a very big loss.
2. What it would be like?
No social media doesn't mean no internet or phones. It just means no social media. So no interaction.
That would be boring after a while, and the internet would just go down on its own. So in some ways, the internet depends on social media.
So what would you think about no social media? Would it be good or bad? Or do you even use, or used social media in the first place?
