What if We Didn't Need To Sleep?

What if it Works?

Fun fact. You roll your eyes when you're dreaming. Sleeping is really just a form of resting. Deep resting, to the point when you're completely unconscious.

Studies have found out that the most important role of the brain is not to remember ... but to forget.

If you think about it, it really makes sense. If the brain never forgot, we would just explode with memories. There's only so much the brain can hold.

Try thinking of it this way, try to remember something that happened to you yesterday. Not so hard right?

What about a year ago?

A little harder.

Try fifteen years, ok? Most people wouldn't remember.

But if you try to think harder, you could remember it. But in order for that to happen, your brain has to forget something else momentarily.

Believe it or not, the memory is in the back of your conciseness, only brought up with effort.

But there's only so much brain power we could use. We have to rest to release all of it. But what if we didn't?

Now that's something.

Let's see the possibilities.

1. What we would think it would be like?

Without resting means that we would have unlimited brain storage. And how would that happen?

Let's take a look at how we store thoughts in our brain.

The brain stores the equivalent of 2.5 PB. (1 Million GB.)

But how does it do all that?

It's very complex (obviously,) but in short, it's basically a grouping of two cells in the brain. Let's call them memory cells, the scientific name is too long. No way we'll remember it.

A memory cell.
Anyways these two cells are formed together with concentration. By remembering over, and over again, you focus on the idea, and then you have your memory.

We would have unlimited storage in our brain if we had more memory cells. Or if we could reproduce memory cells.

Now we're talking.

2. What it would be like?

How would we reproduce memory cells? Well, it's quite simple. How do we reproduce blood cells?

With bone marrow.

So we could do the same with brain marrow. Right? Not quite. Brain marrow is used for other purposes. Like treating illnesses and ... eating purposes.

Yes, people do eat bone marrow.

Ugh. Hopefully that an animal's brain at least.

Anyways...

We could reproduce memory cells by other methods. Such as learning etc. etc. But we could do so with only so much.

But what if we had enchanted learning?

Well, we would all be super-smart, but if that's what it takes to be up forever. Then that's what it takes.

Maybe not. It depends on what you think.
