What if We Had No Paper

What if it Works?

Intro

-------------

Paper is a thin material produced by pressing together moist fibers of cellulose pulp derived from wood, rags or grasses, and drying them into flexible sheets. It is a versatile material with many uses, including writing, printing, packaging, cleaning, and a number of industrial and construction processes.

It was invented around 100 BC in China. In 105 AD, under the Han Dynasty emperor Ho-Ti, a government official in China named Ts'ai Lun was the first to start a paper-making industry.

What if China never thought about trees and paper?

What we think it would be like?

A number of things will happen.

1. We wouldn't know most of our history because until the age of computers we, we used books and paper to write down all our history.

Although I suppose a person can argue by saying that our history was still recording even before paper, and carved walls, clay, rock or stone. That argument is correct, without paper our history would most likely be written dawn on those materials. Still, the world would be very different, and writing materials would be very inaccessible.

2. Most of the trees will survive. Our forest would be a lot bigger, and there would be more green in the world. However, a lot of trees might be chopped down so we could live.

3. Computers would have been invented a long time ago. Nowadays, thanks to devices like Kindles, and Androids, we don't need paper. However if we truly would've had paper for so many years, we would have been fed up with it a long time ago. So we would want to find a solution to the problem.

What if we didn't think about trees at that time? What if we thought about technology? What if we discovered lightning could get attracted to medal a thousand years ago? What if we discovered that we could produce energy so much to the extent that it could glow? We if we discovered LED at that time too? How would the world be?

Maybe computers would have been invented 300 hundred years ago, instead of 30 years ago. Maybe.

So would it Work?

What do you think?
